My Heroes

A hero is someone who you admire and respect and in my life it's hard to think of more than one person. I think of both of my parents as my heroes. They have done so much with there lives that most people would take for granted. They went to college and graduated with high degrees at a time when a lot of people didn't even go to college in their town. They got married while there and my dad attended law school while my mom worked. They have tried and failed at businesses, jobs, and everyday life skills. They have kept going and have built a family, careers, and a marriage. I mostly admire them for sticking it out and staying together in a time when the divorce rate is 50%. I am proud of them for this, and know that it isn't always easy to love one another 24/7, 365 days a year for 35 years but they have somehow managed. I don't think that I could ever be like them, and I don't always want to be; I do admire what they have done and hope that my children will be proud of me one day.
