The title "A Dolls House" is appropriate for this story because it portrays the metaphor that Nora is more or less a Doll in her own house for her husband Torvald treats her as if she is just a plastic object that has no use in the world, but too look good. As the book progresses one sees that Nora is not just a doll, but trying to be a successful person that can be a benefit to the community. Torvald does not see this and as he finally realizes what he had and took for granted was gone.
There are many examples through this book including the scene where she dances to keep Torvold distracted so he doesn't read the mail. She dances insanely at first describing her state of mind, but the whole time she is just Torvolds puppet and he is moving her with his strings. This story ends great for it was a start of showing that women are actual beings, not just posessions for us to control.
