Music
So many times in my life, music is a comfort. I use soft music to clam me down when I get stressed, fast and fun music to pump me up for sports, and when I can't go fall asleep, acoustic guitar usually does the trick. I like music a lot, because its so often relates to things happening in my life. This seems to be the case as well for the Invisible Man. The song that he listened to over and over had very much to do with the events of his life, dealing with racial prejudice, identity, and loneliness. The song discusses the isolation that is felt due to a racial difference. The Invisible Man probably highly relates to the songwriter with the isolation that he feels from being black. He probably finds comfort in not being alone in that thought.
