Of All the Poems in the World, Why Would You Pick This One?

To kick off our fun-filled semester of poetry Fridays, you need to post a poem that is significant to you for some reason. If you have not previously been an avid reader of poetry, this will require spending some time reading poetry and choosing a poem. The following websites might be helpful:

Post your poem for all to see. (No epic poems, please). Do not just provide a link to the poem. Also make sure you include the name of the poet and stay true to the poem's structure--line breaks/ stanzas, etc.

Then, write a paragraph or two explaining why the poem is significant to you. Explain what you like about the poem and why you think it's an effective poem.
